Coinbase Re-Initiates Legal Battle with FDIC over FOIA Request

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has reasserted its pursuit of transparency and clarity in the regulatory landscape for digital assets. Following a pause initiated upon President Trump’s appointment of Travis Hill as acting FDIC chairman, Coinbase filed a motion to resume its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). This follows the exchange’s claims that the FDIC has been deliberately withholding critical documents in regards to Operation Chokepoint 2.0.
