The FBI and U.S. Secret Service have taken down the notorious darknet marketplace, BidenCash, responsible for a massive $17 million in crypto revenue since 2022. This significant crackdown against cybercrime involving cryptocurrency demonstrates the global effort to combat online illicit activities. 145 darknet domains linked to BidenCash were seized, including its clearnet site bidencash.asia and several onion domains redirecting to government seizure notices. The marketplace operated a complex scheme by trafficking stolen credit cards and personal data on both the dark web and clearnet. They charged fees for every transaction using cryptocurrencies as near-anonymous payment methods.
