Nigeria’s Senate Approves Bill for EV Transition Amid CNG Drive

The Nigerian Senate has given its approval to a bill that aims to accelerate the nation’s shift from fossil fuel-powered vehicles to electric cars (EVs). The bill, titled the Electric Vehicle Transition and Green Mobility Bill, was introduced by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. This move follows President Bola Tinubu’s initiative to promote CNG-powered vehicles in Nigeria, aiming to ease the transition to EVs.
