South Korea Tightens Crypto Tax Crackdown: Targeting Offline Holdings

South Korea is taking its digital asset tax enforcement a step further, expanding its reach beyond exchanges into people’s homes. The National Tax Service (NTS) will now seize hardware wallets, hard drives, and other storage devices if evidence suggests undeclared crypto holdings are being hidden offline. This shift marks a significant escalation in the country’s approach to digital asset compliance.
