The Ethereum Foundation has partnered with Keyring Network to launch a new funding mechanism supporting privacy-focused developers. This initiative, which utilizes Keyring’s zkVerified permissioned vault on its mainnet, offers access to a compliant and private DeFi lending market. During the initial two months, all protocol fees from this vault will be donated to the legal defense fund for Roman Storm and Alexey Pertsev, developers of Tornado Cash, who are currently facing trial for releasing open-source code. The Ethereum Foundation believes this model allows early users to directly support these developers’ legal protection efforts while demonstrating that community action can drive resilience within innovation.
