Crypto Market Shows Signs of Weakness Despite Stable Funding Rates

Despite remaining neutral overall, the cryptocurrency market is showing signs of bearishness according to recent data from Coinglass. The cryptocurrency market has experienced a two-day decline that’s contributing to this shift. Notably, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL) have particularly seen downward pressure. This trend is evident in funding rates, which currently reflect the market’s underlying sentiment. Funding rates, applied to perpetual contracts to maintain balance between contract prices and asset prices, are a key indicator of trader behavior and market outlook. When funding rate exceeds 0.01% it signifies a bullish sentiment, while a rate below 0.005%, suggests a bearish one.
