This response was followed by a Chinese government statement vowing to impose new tariffs on all American goods entering China starting next week. The announcement cited a range of domestic laws, including China’s Tariff Law and Customs Law, along with international legal principles, stating that these actions were in violation of China’s legitimate rights and interests. China has implemented a 34% tariff on U.S. imports from April 10th onwards, further escalating the trade conflict.
