US House Moves Forward to Repeal ‘Unfair’ Crypto Tax Rule

The US House of Representatives has taken a significant step towards repealing the controversial ‘DeFi broker rule,’ which requires brokers to report digital asset transactions to the IRS. The resolution, passed by the Ways and Means Committee in a 26-to-16 vote, aims to overturn the regulation slated to take effect in 2027.
