Coinbase CEO Predicts Bitcoin Will Reach $1 Million by 2030

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong shared a long-term bullish outlook for Bitcoin, predicting the cryptocurrency’s price could reach a million dollars by 2030. He attributes this projection to regulatory clarity and increasing institutional demand. Armstrong cited the recent passage of pro-crypto legislation, including the GENIUS Stablecoin Act, as evidence of market stability, while pointing to growing interest from corporations like MicroStrategy and financial institutions in Bitcoin ETFs for driving his prediction. In a podcast interview, Armstrong stated: “The rough idea I have in my head is that we will see a million-dollar Bitcoin by 2030”. The CEO also highlighted the US government’s decision to hold Bitcoin reserves and growing global adoption of cryptocurrencies as contributing factors to his forecast.
Other industry figures like Michael Saylor and Cathie Wood also share similar price targets, aiming for $1 million or even higher by 2030. They emphasize that continued growth in Bitcoin’s adoption will solidify its position as a valuable store of value. While the recent rally pushed Bitcoin to new highs, its momentum has slowed down recently. As of August 20th, 2025, BTC is trading around $113,368, though it hasn’t sustained the gains witnessed earlier in the month.
