S&P Retains US Credit Rating Despite Soaring Debt

Despite a significant increase in the U.S. national debt, S&P Global has maintained its ‘AA+/A-1+’ credit rating on American government debt. The agency attributes this decision to robust revenue generated from President Trump’s tariff policies, which will offset expected fiscal slippage resulting from new tax cuts and increased spending.
