On August 19th, Bitcoin trades at a 0.31% Kimchi premium in South Korea. As of 12:00 AM KST, Bitcoin (BTC) price on Upbit was 160.83 million KRW, down 1.40% from the previous day. Bitcoin on global exchange Binance is priced at 160.33 million KRW, leading to a price gap of 500,000 KRW and a Kimchi Premium of 0.31%. Ethereum (ETH) saw a 0.23% Kimchi premium as well. Other major altcoins also exhibited higher premiums; Solana (SOL) at 0.35%, XRP (XRP) at 0.34%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 0.65%, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) at 0.45%. Most top altcoins are currently trading with a premium between 0.2% to 0.6%.
