Circle Acquires Malachite Engine for Its New Stablecoin-Focused Blockchain

Informal Systems has announced its high-performance consensus engine, Malachite, has been acquired by Circle Internet Group to power their new stablecoin-focused blockchain network. This news comes just after the launch of Arc1, an open-source Layer-1 platform designed for stablecoin payments. The integration will bring enhanced performance and security to Circle’s existing offerings.
