Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, addressed a brief disruption to the XRP Ledger (XRPL) monitoring system that affected its performance data for one minute. Despite this, Schwartz assured the public that the XRPL remains stable and functional. The cause of the disruption was identified as an issue with the monitoring system itself, not with the XRPL ledger system. 0.006 seconds were required to generate responses to each request, indicating a responsive network. Schwartz highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the monitoring system’s reliability. 11,000 requests per second were successfully processed in the past 24 hours, and the ledger handled over 173 peers effectively. Furthermore, Schwartz emphasized the importance of trust lines in cross-border payments for institutions. Trust lines facilitate the creation of tokenized instruments held only by approved entities. This system enhances security and enables smooth network operation. Schwartz believes this approach can unlock institutional adoption and reshape how international transactions are conducted.
