Norway’s Sovereign Wealth Fund Expands Bitcoin Exposure by 192%

Norway’s sovereign wealth fund has significantly increased its indirect exposure to Bitcoin, surging by 192.7% since last year. As of June 30, the fund holds 7,161 BTC worth approximately $862.8 million in its investment portfolio. This rise is attributed to investments made through ETF vehicles, global equities, corporate bonds, and real estate by NBIM, the fund’s managing entity. The report reveals that NBIM has boosted its Bitcoin holdings significantly since the start of 2025, adding around 4,714 BTC in just six months. This growth is driven by investments in companies like Strategy, Metaplanet, and Coinbase.
