Coinbase Suffers $300,000 Loss Due to 0x Contract Error

On August 13, 2025, Coinbase suffered a significant loss of $300,000 due to a misconfigured token approval in a 0xProject swapper contract. This error allowed MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) bots to access the fee-receiving wallet and exploit the situation. This incident highlights the importance of robust smart contract auditing for cryptocurrency exchanges like Coinbase.
