Tether and Rumble Invest $1.17B in AI with Northern Data Acquisition

Tether and Rumble have announced a joint acquisition of all shares in Northern Data, gaining full control of the artificial intelligence infrastructure company. The deal will build on Northern Data’s existing AI and high-performance computing (HPC) operations, leveraging Tether’s substantial investment in the company. Tether, which issued the USDt stablecoin, is already Northern Data’s largest shareholder and plans to leverage this acquisition for future collaborations involving AI, peer-to-peer communications, and data storage solutions. Tether’s $775 million investment in Rumble at year’s end further demonstrates its commitment to the collaboration.
