The LayerZero Foundation has announced its second fee conversion referendum on June 20th, giving ZRO token holders a chance to vote on the activation of protocol fees. A ‘yes’ vote will activate these fees, while a ‘no’ vote will keep them inactive. If activated, each LayerZero message will incur a fee that will be used to purchase and burn ZRO tokens. 50.40% quorum is required for this vote based on circulating ZRO token holders, totaling 109 million, which will determine the final outcome if the threshold is surpassed by a majority vote. Voting on the proposal will take place from June 20th to June 27th, 2025 and the next referendum is scheduled for six months later.
