DRW Investments, controlled by Don Wilson, has made a significant investment in Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), supporting the company’s ambitious move into the cryptocurrency market. This investment, reportedly worth over $100 million, follows a landmark decision to allocate funds for TMTG’s Bitcoin venture, which has now reached a substantial value exceeding $2 billion. Wilson’s choice to support TMTG’s Bitcoin initiative comes after the SEC closed their investigation into his crypto company Cumberland in March, concluding without legal action against Cumberland’s operations. 4 million shares of TMTG were purchased by DRW last month, marking one of the largest investments in the company’s history. Jane Street also contributed significantly to this investment round, holding approximately $375 million worth of stake in TMTG, which is also responsible for the Truth Social app. 300 million in Bitcoin investment was a key driver for DRW’s decision to invest in TMTG.
