Solana ETF Applications Resurface Amidst SEC Approval Hopes

Seven exchange-traded fund (ETF) providers have resubmitted updated S-1 filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for Solana-based ETFs, signaling a potential acceleration towards approval. These firms, including 21Shares, Bitwise, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, VanEck, and Canary Capital, aim to offer US investors direct exposure to Solana’s price without requiring them to directly hold the cryptocurrency. They have clarified language in their filings to incorporate staking functionality, allowing issuers to generate yield on Solana held within the funds. This feature promises investors increased returns. 7 of the 7 hopeful Solana ETF issuers submitted these updated S-1s earlier this week.
