Connecticut Enacts Nation’s Strictest Crypto Ban for Government Entities

Connecticut has enacted the nation’s most restrictive crypto regulation, prohibiting all government entities from owning, purchasing, or accepting cryptocurrency. House Bill 7082 (Public Act No. 25-66), which received unanimous approval on June 11 and was signed into law on June 10th, marks a departure from the broader national trend of state initiatives exploring crypto reserves.
