The proposed measures come as part of a broader effort by the Ministry to tighten crypto regulations. While fines and asset confiscation are being explored as punishments, operators are also required to report their data and wallet addresses to designated authorities. These regulatory changes highlight Russia’s commitment to tackling illegal mining activities. 1 million ruble penalties for using cryptocurrencies for payments are also proposed in this new regulation.
