Sui DEX Cetus Makes Open-Source Move After Major Exploit

Following a massive $220 million exploit in May that affected its liquidity pools on the Sui blockchain, decentralized exchange (DEX) Cetus has announced plans to become fully open-source. The protocol, which suffered an attack exploiting a pricing mechanism flaw on May 22, restarted operations and is now working towards transparency through a new white bounty program. 7 million in cash reserves, a $30 million USDC loan from the Sui Foundation, and some recovered assets were used to replenish affected liquidity pools, with recovery rates hovering between 85% and 99%.
