Senate Approves Brian Quintenz as Potential CFTC Chair

Brian Quintenz, a former commissioner of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), may soon become the agency’s new chair after his nomination was moved to the Senate Agriculture Committee. A hearing on his appointment is scheduled for June 10th following the departure of two commissioners at the end of May, leaving only two confirmed members on the five-seat panel.
