A significant crypto heist has been reported, targeting the Force Bridge platform. On June 2nd, cybersecurity company Cyvers revealed that hackers drained over $3 million in various crypto assets. This incident occurred just days after Magickbase, the Nervos Network-based infrastructure firm responsible for the bridge, announced plans to shut down the platform due to low activity and high maintenance costs. While Magickbase acted quickly to pause the bridge and initiate an investigation following the theft, hackers swiftly converted stolen funds into Ethereum and utilized Tornado Cash to obscure their transactions. 257,800 USDT, 539.09 Ethereum (approx $1.35 million), 898,300 USDC were among the stolen assets. Other cryptocurrencies such as DAI and wrapped Bitcoin also suffered significant losses. This attack highlights a vulnerability in blockchain infrastructure.
