A massive $11.5 million cryptocurrency theft from the Taiwanese crypto exchange BitoPro has sent shockwaves through the industry, triggering fears of panic selling among users. While 25 days have passed since the incident, BitoPro remains silent, leaving users in the dark about what transpired and exacerbating uncertainty surrounding their funds. Blockchain researcher ZachXBT suggests that the stolen funds, originating from Tron, Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon networks, were quickly transferred to Tornado Cash, then bridged to Bitcoin via Thorchain before ending up in Wasabi wallets. Blockchain data shows the trail of these funds was obscured almost instantly.
