New Zealand Central Bank to Lower Interest Rates for Sixth Consecutive Time

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand is expected to lower its key interest rate for the sixth time in a row, potentially signaling further easing in response to rising US trade barriers’ impact on the economic outlook. Analysts anticipate a 25 basis point reduction, bringing the Official Cash Rate down to 3.25 percent, at its policy meeting on Wednesday in Wellington.
