John Woeltz, a cryptocurrency investor from Manhattan, faces charges for allegedly torturing an Italian businessman to obtain his Bitcoin wallet credentials. The victim suffered prolonged confinement and torture, and no recorded market impact has been observed following the incident. Authorities allege that Woeltz targeted the man during a visit for business related to past crypto dealings.
