U.S. Demands Tariff Reductions From EU in Trade Talks

The United States is pushing for expedited tariff cuts from the European Union during ongoing trade negotiations, according to reports. U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer intends to express dissatisfaction with the EU’s recent negotiating proposal. The U.S. sees its own unilateral tariff reductions as a more favorable approach, unlike the proposed mutual reduction that has been put forth by the EU.
