Crypto Awareness Soars in Singapore as Ownership Dips

Singapore’s crypto awareness has reached a new peak, with 94% of respondents indicating familiarity with at least one digital asset according to a recent survey by Independent Reserve. However, actual ownership has declined, dropping from 40% in 2023 to 29% in 2024, as shown in their fifth annual Singapore Crypto Market Survey released on May 21st. The survey, conducted in February with 1,500 participants, revealed that men remain more active in crypto investing than women, at 35% versus 24%. Millennial and Gen X (aged 25-54) make up the majority of investors, comprising 71% of all holders. Those trading at least once a week are predominantly this age group, with 76% falling into this category.
