Circle Files for IPO, Set to List on NYSE as “CRCL”

Circle, the issuer of USD Coin (USDC), has officially filed an S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to pursue an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The company plans to list its Class A common stock under the ticker symbol “CRCL” on the New York Stock Exchange. The IPO will leverage Circle’s robust financial performance, fueled by stablecoin revenue and reserve income from USDC assets. 2024 saw Circle generate $1.68 billion in revenue, a substantial jump from the previous year. This success fuels the company’s ambitious plans to expand its market presence and capitalize on growing DeFi applications.
