JPMorgan Opens Doors to Bitcoin: New Clients Access Spot ETFs and Client Statements

JPMorgan Chase has taken a significant step towards embracing the cryptocurrency world by allowing clients to buy Bitcoin and access spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), according to CEO Jamie Dimon’s statements at the company’s investor day. This move marks a major change for the largest U.S. bank, as Dimon previously criticized Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. While JPMorgan won’t hold custody of Bitcoin, clients will see their holdings reflected on their account statements, allowing for greater exposure to digital assets without the bank directly assuming responsibility.
