Amber Group’s recent debut on the Nasdaq exchange marks a significant milestone for the cryptocurrency industry, potentially paving the way for more companies to follow suit. This listing has attracted institutional investors who were previously hesitant to enter the volatile crypto market due to its lack of structure. Pantera Capital, an early investor in Amber Group, sees this move as a catalyst for bringing much-needed capital into the market that is currently experiencing a shortage. Paul Veradittakit, a partner at Pantera Capital, highlighted that several U.S. companies are actively exploring public listings, including crypto custody firms, stablecoin issuers and developer platforms.
