Michael Saylor, an outspoken Bitcoin supporter, has declared Bitcoin the most significant digital shift of the 21st century. He views Bitcoin as a superior form of capital to traditional assets, offering investors protection from global economic volatility. Saylor compares his approach to Bitcoin acquisition to a strategic chess game, emphasizing his company’s continued accumulation of Bitcoin. Strategy Holdings now holds a substantial amount of Bitcoins, with holdings reaching 576,230 coins at an average purchase price of $69,726. The company recently purchased 7,390 Bitcoins for $765 million, equating to roughly $103,498 per Bitcoin. These recent acquisitions have pushed Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings to a value of $59 billion, with a total gain of $19.2 billion. Saylor has also urged corporations like Microsoft to integrate Bitcoin as a central element of their strategy, believing it to be the ideal asset for maximizing shareholder value and outperforming competitors.
