4-in-5 Americans Support Converting Gold Reserves to Bitcoin

A recent survey by The Nakamoto Project reveals widespread support among Americans for converting a portion of the U.S.’s gold reserves into Bitcoin. Conducted online by Qualtrics between February and March 2025, the poll involved 3,345 participants whose demographics mirrored U.S. census data. A majority (over 4-in-5) agreed that a percentage of these gold reserves should be converted to BTC. The survey found respondents favored diversification, with younger participants more inclined toward Bitcoin than older generations. When asked about the appropriate balance between Bitcoin and gold, respondents typically settled on an allocation closer to 10% Bitcoin.
