Revolut Invests €1 Billion in France, Aims for Banking License

British financial giant Revolut has made a bold move, committing €1 billion to expanding operations in France over the next three years and pursuing a banking license. This announcement was unveiled at the ‘Choose France’ summit held at the Palace of Versailles. As part of this ambitious plan, Revolut will establish an office in Paris, focusing on Western European operations, thereby creating an estimated 200 new jobs in France. The company already employs 300 people there. While expanding in France, Revolut intends to maintain its established Lithuanian headquarters as a key hub for their European operations. Notably, Revolut reported a significant financial boost this year, with profits for 2024 doubling to $1.3 billion, fueled by user growth and a resurgence in cryptocurrency trading activities.
