UK Imposes Strict Crypto Reporting Rules for Firms, Aiming for Transparency and Consumer Protection

The United Kingdom is implementing mandatory reporting of all customer transactions involving cryptocurrencies. Starting January 1st, 2026, cryptocurrency companies will be required to collect and report data from every trade and transfer, including the user’s full name, address, tax identification number, and the cryptocurrency exchanged along with the amount moved.
