Paraguayan Police Stop Crypto Mining Equipment Theft Attempt Near Itaipu Dam

Paraguay’s police successfully prevented a theft attempt of crypto mining equipment near the Itaipu dam. On May 15, 2025, three Chinese nationals were deported for illegal entry and one Paraguayan suspect was apprehended. Security concerns are rising in Paraguay as these thefts target valuable mining hardware instead of digital assets.
