Trump Seeks New Era of AI Trade Between US and UAE

President Donald Trump announced a significant step forward in AI trade relations between the United States and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). During a visit to Abu Dhabi, Trump stated that the countries are finalizing an agreement allowing for the UAE to import advanced AI chips produced by American companies. This deal could facilitate a substantial import of 500,000 Nvidia H100 chips annually – the most powerful chips produced by any US firm. These are commonly used in AI data centers and represent a major shift in AI infrastructure within the UAE.
