Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has invested $450 million into Bitcoin after acquiring a significant batch of BTC. This investment is part of a larger deal involving Cantor Equity Partners, adding an interesting twist to the transaction. 4,812 bitcoins purchased by Tether will be transferred to Twenty One Capital upon the completion of their SPAC merger with Cantor Equity Partners. This move brings Twenty One Capital’s total Bitcoin holdings to 36,312 BTC, placing them among the top corporate Bitcoin holders. Notably, this purchase follows Tether’s previous acquisition of 8,888 BTC in April.
