On May 11th, the ‘Kimchi Premium’ experienced a negative turn for both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Data reveals that as of 12:00 AM KST on May 11th, BTC traded at approximately KRW 144.33 million on Upbit, with a 0.42% increase from the previous day. The price on Binance stood at approximately KRW 144.47 million. Notably, a price difference of -KRW 140,000 signals a negative Kimchi Premium of -0.10%. Meanwhile, ETH is displaying a negative Kimchi Premium of -0.22%, with other major altcoins also trading below their global counterparts: SOL at -0.16%, XRP at -0.18%, DOGE at -0.12%, and SHIB at -0.03%. A majority of the top altcoins are currently showcasing negative premiums, ranging from -0.03% to -0.22%, on Korean exchanges.
