Ripple Reaches $50 Million Settlement with SEC, Ending Long-Standing Legal Battle

In a landmark development for the crypto industry, Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have reached a settlement agreement ending their long-standing legal dispute. The agreement entails a $50 million fine from Ripple Labs to the SEC, while the remaining $75 million of an escrowed payment will be returned to Ripple.
