EU Imposing New Rules on Anonymous Cryptocurrency by 2027

The European Union (EU) is set to significantly alter the landscape of cryptocurrencies with a new Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR). This rulebook, targeting anonymous cryptocurrency services like Monero and Zcash, will prohibit financial institutions and service providers from offering any services linked to privacy tokens. Additionally, it aims to ban anonymous accounts entirely.
