April Jobs Report Shakes Chances of June Rate Cut

Economist Nick Timiraos, dubbed ‘the Fed’s Mouthpiece’, has indicated that the April employment report weakens the likelihood of a rate cut in June. Despite the remaining time until then, only one more employment report is anticipated before the deadline. This suggests the Federal Reserve may not need to make any statements concerning the June meeting next week.
