Ripple Keeps $1.5 Billion in Escrow: Unreleased XRP Triggers Speculation

Ripple has once again exercised its monthly rebalancing strategy, transferring a billion XRP across its ecosystem on May 1, 2025. However, the focus is shifting to the lack of any release from escrow this time around. This pattern follows a similar action in April where Ripple held back most of the transferred tokens for an unanticipated duration. 700 million XRP have been locked away until further notice.
