U.S. Unemployment Claims Surge to New High

The U.S. unemployment rate climbed to a new high for the week ending April 26th, according to data from BlockBeats. Initial jobless claims reached 241,000, marking the highest weekly number since February 22nd, 2025. The figure surpassed predictions of 224,000 and represented a rise from the previous week’s revised number of 223,000.
