BlackRock Launches Blockchain-Based Digital Share Class in $150 Billion Fund

Asset manager BlackRock has filed a registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch a new digital share class using blockchain technology for its $150 billion Treasury Trust Fund. This move, spearheaded by BNY Mellon, will enable investors to access the fund’s assets exclusively through BNY Mellon’s blockchain-enabled platform.
