Following Russia’s exploration of a ban on cash-based cryptocurrency transactions, local crypto exchanges have faced police raids. This followed online reports linking several arrests of Mosca clients with a large-scale crypto robbery where a victim reportedly paid millions of dollars in cash to fraudsters.
