Reservoir Shuts Down NFT Services After $14 Million Funding Round

Blockchain infrastructure provider Reservoir has announced the sunsetting of its NFT services, just two months after securing a significant $14 million funding round. The company will discontinue its NFT API and associated services on October 15th, 2025, according to an announcement made on X (formerly Twitter). Reservoir played a key role in providing infrastructure for leading NFT marketplaces including Coinbase, MetaMask, and Magic Eden, offering services like indexing NFT data and enabling token trading across multiple platforms. Customers can continue using Reservoir’s platform until the shutdown date, but new account creation has been disabled. To facilitate a smooth transition, Reservoir has partnered with Alchemy and Sequence, ensuring a seamless migration process for users. The company is also making its codebase public to empower other developers to replicate its infrastructure. Reservoir’s focus now shifts towards a broader token infrastructure project.
