Nigerian States Waive Right of Way Fees to Bridge Digital Divide

To connect underserved communities across Nigeria and accelerate its digital transformation, 12 states have waived right-of-way (RoW) fees, a key obstacle to expanding broadband infrastructure. This bold initiative, driven by the Nigerian government, aims to unlock economic opportunities for rural populations, improve healthcare access, and bolster education through enhanced connectivity. However, despite this progress, challenges remain in addressing uneven implementation and persistent infrastructure gaps.
