This stance comes following a joint initiative between various government bodies including the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, emphasizing the potential dangers posed by this activity. The MoI cited several key laws as violations in addition to specific legislation regarding industry regulation. 1,000 crypto mining sites have been identified within Kuwait. The statement also highlighted the negative effects of crypto mining on the country’s electrical infrastructure, including increased electricity demand and potential power outages.
